Student consulting at UQ since 2014.
We are the University of Queensland branch of 180 Degrees Consulting, the world’s largest university-based consultancy. Since 2014, our students have worked on projects for non-profits and social enterprises at no cost to clients, with training and mentoring throughout.
Our mission
We are the world’s largest volunteer consultancy. We improve education, reduce homelessness and alleviate poverty by helping non-profits receive the support and expertise they need to improve and expand their services. At the same time, we develop a generation of future leaders committed to making a difference.

We help socially-focused organisations and early-stage startups scale their impact, providing high-quality and extremely affordable consulting services. We do so while we build the next generation of leaders committed to making a difference.
The team
Students from every faculty
Students from all faculties and degree levels are selected to become consultants and project leaders. Project teams receive extensive training and mentoring throughout the semester.
The goal
Help with difficult questions
Project teams work with charities and non-profits on their hardest problems, like reaching financial sustainability or measuring their social impact.

We ask clients for detailed feedback on each project and use it to improve how our teams work.
At UQ since
2014Queensland’s largest student-led consulting organisation
Founded in 2014, the UQ branch now runs at least eight projects each semester. We recruit students from a wide range of degrees. Consultants can go on to lead project teams, oversee projects as consulting directors or help run the branch on the executive team.
